Medicaid-approved Doula Trainings

BADT wants to help you navigate the upcoming policy changes with the Doula Medicaid process.

Currently, there are a few main possibilities you might encounter. Those that we've come across so far include:

a) Your state requires pre-approved doula trainings, which means that BADT has been approved (or is working on getting approved),

b) Your state doesn’t require pre-approved doula trainings, which usually means you will just provide proof you’ve trained with us,

c) Your state isn't offering approval yet.

See below for more info about your specific state requirements. If you have questions, we’re happy to help at info@birthingadvocacy.org.

States where BADT is listed as an approved training provider:

We’ve included links to how things work in each state.

States where pre-approved trainings are not necessary:

If you’re state isn’t listed above, the reason why is either:

  1. The state isn’t offering approval yet.

  2. Or we are in the process of certifying.

We are actively working to get ourselves listed in every state where possible!
